A landscape is an experience. I don’t attempt to capture the entirety of any landscape — I am not a morning person, and I have no patience for stake-outs in the cold; instead, the moments I refer to here as landscapes are the sum of a magical light, a fortuitous framing, and something effervescent etched on the negative.
